After 4 years studying as a student in a university, listening to a commencement speech given in the end of the academic year is tend to be a moment that probably everygraduated student never want to miss out. Well, here i have famous, inspiring but never been graduated from a college person who gave a magical commencement speech. Steve Jobs is tend to be a representative of University’s best dropped out student. Even though he decide to drop out from the college, his successfulness on persuing his dreams is quite a proof that he deserves to become a speaker in the commencement ceremony. Steve Jobs was talking about his story of persuing his dream having a great work in his commencement speech in Stanford University , 2005. He divided his point of his speech into some points and one of them is positive thinking to the bad things happened in the past. My mind specially moved by his idea about everything happen in life is for something. He was talking about how much he was being thankful now everytime he looked backwards to his past. He had been starving, gotten fired from the company he had created and almost dead by incurable pancreas cancer in 2004. The best part of his speech that i like the most is about building our own dream. He suggested not to wasting our limit time by letting ourself being trapped by people’s opinion because we do not live up to other people opinion. Moreover, he advised to try harder and keep going looking for the work that we love in order to have a great job. Otherwise, Commencement ceremony seems like to be a closing section of a student life while actually, commencement has its first meaning on english dictionary as a beginning as well.People might be wondering why is commencement speech or ‘beginning’ speech is given in the end of the academic year for graduated students. Well, i assumed that being graduated student is the start of facing the new chapter in life. It is a new begining for another something big.

Indeed a great example for all of us. The teaching of his speech and more of his life might seem boring or familiar for some: think positive, do what you want. Dropping from university/college doesn't mean necessary a good or a bad decision. He tried to explain this somehow that we are all diferent and we should fight for our dreams and if that is a solution for achieving these dreams then go for it. In my understanding, he tried to explain that there are no limits and only limits that exists are coming from us, we decide not to do that because somebody else said. When somebody says something is not ultimate. He tried to say that everything from his past "good" or "bad" had a clear importance later after. He emphasized the power of belief, hope, work, perseverence and taking risks. His example is similar to a famous quote by Bruce Lee: "If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them."
